Umrah Flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Madinah
A direct flight from Dhaka to Jeddah takes about six and a half to seven hours; connecting flights through a Gulf city take longer but are often cheaper. Pilgrims flying to Jeddah must be in ihram before the plane crosses the miqat, so most change at Dhaka airport or on board before the announcement.

Routes from Dhaka
- Dhaka – Jeddah, direct: the most common Umrah route, operated by national and Saudi carriers.
- Dhaka – Madinah: starting in Madinah lets you rest before Umrah; you enter ihram at Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali) on the way to Makkah.
- Connecting flights through Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Kuwait or Riyadh: cheaper fares, longer journeys.
Package prices include the return ticket; we tell you the airline and route in the quote. Ticket-only prices change daily, so ask us for today's fare.
Ihram on the plane
Flights to Jeddah cross the miqat before landing. Wear the ihram clothes at Dhaka airport or on board, make the intention when the crew announces the miqat (or a little before), and start the talbiyah. Flying to Madinah first? You do not need ihram on this flight.
Baggage and Zamzam
- Check your ticket for the checked and cabin allowance; Umrah fares often allow more than standard economy.
- Zamzam is usually allowed only as the airline's sealed 5-litre container, bought at the airport in Saudi Arabia, not in your checked bag.
- A separate domestic ticket from your district to Dhaka usually has a smaller allowance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy only the Umrah ticket and not a package?
You can buy a ticket, but the Umrah visa now needs a Nusuk hotel and transport booking, so most pilgrims book the flight as part of a package.
Which airport should I fly into: Jeddah or Madinah?
Jeddah if you want to perform Umrah first; Madinah if you want to rest and visit Masjid an-Nabawi before Makkah.
How much Zamzam can I bring back?
Usually one sealed 5-litre container per passenger, as allowed by the airline. Check your ticket.
