Getting from Tangail to your Umrah flight

From Tangail, the road to your Umrah flight runs south through Chandra and Gazipur and enters Dhaka from the north, close to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, where every Vromon.com.bd package departs. That means you avoid the worst of central Dhaka’s traffic, but the stretch around Chandra and Gazipur can be slow. Allow about three hours and leave earlier on Thursdays and before holidays. Trains from the north and west that pass Tangail often stop at Dhaka Airport railway station, across the road from the terminal, which can be the calmest way to arrive.

Tangail’s Regional Passport Office handles e-passport enrolment for the district; book an appointment online at epassport.gov.bd before you go. Keep at least six months of validity on the passport for the day you travel. The meningococcal vaccine required for the Umrah visa is available locally. Once your passport is ready, we handle the Umrah visa as part of the package.
