Planning Umrah with children and elderly parents
- Children: every child needs their own passport and visa. Children may perform Umrah; a parent makes the intention for an infant.
- Elderly parents: wheelchairs can be hired at the Haram for tawaf and sa'i. Book a hotel close to the mosque, and avoid peak summer heat if you can.
- Women travelling with the family: carry a marriage or birth certificate showing the relationship to the male relative.
- Rooms: ask for a family room or two connecting rooms; it costs more per person than shared quads, but it is your family's own space.

Frequently asked questions
Do children pay the full Umrah package price?
No. Children and infants are usually charged less because they need a smaller airline fare and may share a bed; the visa and insurance still apply. We quote each family member separately.
Can we get a private room for the family?
Yes. Family packages are built around a private room or connecting rooms for your group.
What is the best month for a family Umrah?
The cooler months from November to February are easiest for children and elderly parents, but the December school holidays are busy and more expensive.
