Umrah Visa Price from Bangladesh 2026: Fees, Insurance and Total Cost
An Umrah visa from Bangladesh costs about ৳17,000–38,000 per person in 2026 through a licensed agency. That covers the Saudi government fee of SAR 300 (about ৳9,800), compulsory medical insurance of SAR 100–180 (about ৳3,300–5,900) and the agency's service charge. You cannot buy the visa on its own: every Umrah visa must now be linked to a confirmed hotel and transport booking through Nusuk.

Book an appointmentWhat the Umrah visa price is made of
The Umrah visa price has three parts. Two are fixed by Saudi Arabia; the third is what your agency charges for doing the paperwork.
| Item | Saudi riyal | About, in taka |
|---|---|---|
| Umrah visa fee (government) | SAR 300 | ৳9,800 |
| Compulsory medical insurance | SAR 100–180 | ৳3,300–5,900 |
| Agency service charge | — | ৳4,000–8,000 |
| Total, visa only | SAR 450–900 | ৳17,000–38,000 |
Taka amounts use about ৳32.6 to the riyal and move with the exchange rate. The insurance is issued with the visa and you cannot opt out of it; the price within that range depends mainly on your age.
Why agencies quote such different prices
- The Nusuk booking rule. Since the 2025 season, Saudi Arabia has not accepted a standalone Umrah visa from international pilgrims. Each visa must be tied to a confirmed hotel and transport booking made through Nusuk, the official platform. A "visa price" that looks very low usually leaves that booking out, and you pay for it separately.
- Service charges. Agencies add ৳4,000–8,000 for processing, document checks and the Nusuk booking. Ask for the government fee, the insurance and the service charge as separate lines.
- Season. In Ramadan and the school holidays, demand pushes prices up and processing slows down.
- The exchange rate. The fixed fees are in riyals, so the taka price moves with the rate.
Visa only, or a full package?
Because the visa now has to be linked to a hotel and transport booking, most pilgrims from Bangladesh find a full package simpler: the visa, flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah and ground transport are arranged together, and the booking requirement is met automatically. All Vromon.com.bd Umrah packages include Umrah visa processing; the current packages and prices are listed below this guide.
Can Bangladeshis use the Saudi tourist eVisa instead?
The Saudi tourist eVisa (SAR 535 online, insurance included) also allows Umrah outside the Hajj season, but Bangladeshi passport holders are generally not eligible for it unless they hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa or residence permit. For most pilgrims from Bangladesh, the Umrah visa through a licensed agency is the route.
How long the visa lasts
- You must enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of the visa being issued.
- Once inside, you can stay for up to 90 days.
- For the current season, visas are issued until about 9 March 2027, and pilgrims must leave by about 7 April 2027, ahead of Hajj.
Documents you need
- A Bangladeshi passport valid for at least six months, with two blank pages.
- A recent photo with a white background.
- A meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination certificate. The vaccine must be taken at least 10 days before you arrive in Saudi Arabia.
- Biometric enrolment through the Saudi Visa Bio app.
- The confirmed hotel and transport booking described above.
Women aged 18 and over can now get an Umrah visa without a mahram, provided they travel with an authorised group. Children under 18 travel with a parent or guardian.
How long processing takes
Usually 3–7 working days once every document is in. In Ramadan and other peak periods, allow 7–10 working days or more, so apply well ahead of your flight.
How to avoid paying too much
- Ask for an itemised quote: visa fee, insurance, service charge and the Nusuk booking.
- Be wary of "visa only" prices far below ৳17,000; they almost always exclude the compulsory booking.
- Use an agency licensed for Umrah, and keep the receipt and your visa copy.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Umrah visa fee in Saudi riyal?
The government visa fee is SAR 300. With the compulsory insurance of SAR 100–180, the official total is SAR 400–480, before any agency charge.
Can I apply for an Umrah visa myself?
Not from Bangladesh. Pilgrims cannot apply on Nusuk as individuals; the application goes through an operator licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, usually via a Bangladeshi agency.
Is the insurance optional?
No. The medical insurance is issued with every Umrah visa and is part of the price.
Does the visa price include flights or hotels?
No. The visa price covers only the visa, the insurance and processing. Flights, hotels and transport are separate unless you book a package.
