Barguna, on the Bay of Bengal between the Payra and Bishkhali rivers, is one of the furthest coastal districts from Dhaka. Pilgrims here have three ways to reach the Dhaka Umrah flight: the overnight launch, the road over the Padma Bridge, or a domestic flight from Barishal.
From Barguna to your Umrah flight
Launches to Dhaka’s Sadarghat run overnight; they arrive in the morning, and from Sadarghat the airport is a long drive across the city. By road, the trip via Barishal and the Padma Bridge takes six to seven hours. Barishal Airport, around two to three hours away, has domestic flights to Dhaka.
Patharghata and Taltali face the sea and lie in the cyclone belt. In the cyclone months, usually April–May and October–November, launches can be suspended at short notice, so do not plan to arrive in Dhaka on the day of the flight.

Is the launch a good way to reach the Umrah flight?
