Launches run from several ghats in the district to Dhaka’s Sadarghat, usually overnight. From Sadarghat the airport is a long drive across Dhaka, so allow two hours or more. Alternatively, cross to Barishal, then take the road over the Padma Bridge or a domestic flight from Barishal Airport. In bad weather, launches and ferries can be cancelled at short notice.
