Booking tips for Ramadan
- Book three to four months ahead; hotels within walking distance of the Haram fill first.
- Decide between the first half (cheaper, calmer) and the last ten nights (Laylat al-Qadr, the most crowded and expensive).
- Expect long waits for iftar and Taraweeh space; a hotel close to the mosque saves hours every day.
- If you want Eid in Makkah, check the return date carefully: flights just after Eid are the busiest of the year.

Is Umrah in Ramadan equal to Hajj?
In reward, yes: the Prophet ﷺ said Umrah in Ramadan equals a Hajj (Bukhari, Muslim). It does not replace the obligatory Hajj for someone who has not yet performed it.
When should I book a Ramadan Umrah package?
Three to four months ahead, so by October or November 2026 for Ramadan 2027, especially for the last ten nights.
