Rules for husband and wife during Umrah
- Once in ihram, marital relations are forbidden until the Umrah is complete and you have left ihram after cutting the hair.
- Each spouse performs tawaf and sa'i for themselves; walking together is fine, but women keep to the women's areas where they exist.
- A wife's ihram is her normal modest clothing; she does not cover her face with a niqab or wear gloves while in ihram.

Yes. A couple package replaces the shared quad room with a double room for the two of you.
Do we need a marriage certificate for Umrah?
Carry one. It is the simplest proof of relationship if an airline, the visa process or a hotel asks for it.
Can newly-weds go for Umrah?
Yes. Book once the wife's passport shows her current details, or carry the marriage certificate if the name on the passport has not changed.
